The government has relieved Zorica Tomic of her duties as the president of the Serbian commission for cooperation with UNESCO. The government also named Trivo Indjic as her replacement in the commission for cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Serbia's UNESCO official sacked Indjic is an advisor to President Boris Tadic, daily Vecernje novosti stated. Tomic was caught in a scandal last winter over the fact that she was renting an apartment in Paris, which served as the Serbian UNESCO ambassador’s residence, which the government was paying about EUR 7,000 on a monthly basis to rent. Inđić is an advisor to President Boris Tadić, daily Večernje novosti stated.
