Simply amazing, it's the same world over. Politicians, government reps., etc., all think they entitled to a lifestyle beyond the average citizen, and at the expense of the citizen. Look at Charles Rangel and Maxine Waters in the US congress, using their positions to pad their own pockets, when they swore to be representing "The People". Greed is powerful force, that few can resist.
