UNGA president in Young Global Leaders list

The World Economic Forum in Davos has honored 199 young global leaders from 70 countries, including United Nations General Assembly President Vuk Jeremić.

GENEVA The World Economic Forum in Davos has honored 199 young global leaders from 70 countries, including United Nations General Assembly President Vuk Jeremic. Serbia's former foreign minister is joined in the list by Center for Applied Non-Violent Actions and Strategies (CANVAS) Director Srdja Popovic. UNGA president in Young Global Leaders list Popovic is a former leader of Otpor, a civic youth movement that played a notable role in the democratic changes in Serbia in 2000. The list of young leaders, who will have a great influence on the world in the years to come, also included Almira Zejnilagic, student anti-corruption activist and consultant from Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Igor Luksic. Every year between 100 and 200 successful leaders under 40 years of age from business and public life are admitted to the Young Global Leaders Forum, where they sign a charter according to which they are due to act in line with the principles of the Forum and improve the situation in the world. UNGA president in Young Global Leaders list

Popović is a former leader of Otpor, a civic youth movement that played a notable role in the democratic changes in Serbia in 2000.

The list of young leaders, who will have a great influence on the world in the years to come, also included Almira Zejnilagić, student anti-corruption activist and consultant from Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Igor Lukšić.
