BELGRADE Serbian Parliamentary Committee on Kosovo Chairman Milovan Drecun says EU's positions will be taken into consideration when formulating the state platform. He stressed, however, that they could not come before state interests. “State interests come before EU positions” Drecun said the platform was being finalized but that there was no deadline by which the document had to be finished. He told daily Vecernje novosti said that while preparing the platform, the government in Belgrade learned about the expectations of Washington, Brussels, Moscow and others, and informed them about its views of the Kosovo issue. "It is clear we are entering a state of frozen conflict, that we have reached the peak pressure point that Washington and Brussels can exert over Belgrade," Drecun was quoted as saying. He said he would call a meeting of the Committee for Kosovo for mid-October, when MPs would be informed about the work on the platform, adding that the parliament should pass the document with the broadest social and political consensus. According to Drecun, Belgrade is waiting, among other things, to see the results of the reshuffling on Pristina's political scene. "The Hague Tribunal is expected to acquit Ramush Haradinaj, whose party is already offering Kosovo Serbs a place and cooperation in a new Kosovo government, which will not include (Kosovo PM) Hashim Thaci, whose political 'assassination' is in the works. We are waiting to see these changes," explained Drecun. Milovan Drecun, left Tanjug
