BELGRADE United Regions of Serbia (URS) leader Mladjan Dinkic says he and his coalition partners agreed to bring some order to the system he will be in charge of. He told daily Kurir that one of the first laws that would be discussed by MPs is the law on departization of public companies. URS leader pledges to “bring order to system” “Directors will be chosen at a competition for openings, with a certain procedure, and we will not deviate from it,” Dinkic stressed. When asked about speculations that Drasko Petrovic could be a new Telekom Srbija director, he said that Petrovic was not a member of any party, adding that departization did not mean that candidates could not be members of parties but that they would not automatically be appointed just because they are. “There are competent people in the parties as well but there are far more of those who do not belong to any party,” he added. According to the coalition agreement, the URS will run the Economy Ministry and the Finance Ministry. Dinkic noted that he would “have his hands free”. “This has been agreed, so we could bring some order into the system. I can tell you now that we will have a new director of the Tax Administration who will not be a member of a party,” he explained. The URS leader said that he would bring some order in the work of agencies, adding that he would close all those that were not necessary and that he would not “allow wages to surge wildly”.
