KFOR sets up checkpoint, road open for traffic

The Zvečan-Zubin Potok road opened for traffic at 18:15 CET on Tuesday after roadblocks were removed and KFOR set up a checkpoint in the village of Jagnjenica.

The Zvecan-Zubin Potok road opened for traffic at 18:15 CET on Tuesday after roadblocks were removed and KFOR set up a checkpoint in the village of Jagnjenica. Vehicles are moving freely along the road. KFOR sets up checkpoint, road open for traffic Serbs and KFOR officials removed the last barricades from the Zvecan-Zubin Potok road earlier on Tuesday. KFOR soldiers are letting vehicles pass without delay and without performing any checks and Serbs in Jagnjenica continued keeping watch near the KFOR checkpoint. Some time around 18:00 CET a small assembled house was brought to the checkpoint so that Serbs would not have to stand in the snow which started falling during the night-watch. KFOR Colonel Adolf Conrad informed Zubin Potok Mayor Slavisa Ristic earlier on Tuesday that the traffic would be normalized in the evening hours, as soon as the road was thoroughly cleared and a KFOR checkpoint is set up in Jagnjenica. Serbs and KFOR officials removed the last barricades from the Zvečan-Zubin Potok road earlier on Tuesday.

KFOR soldiers are letting vehicles pass without delay and without performing any checks and Serbs in Jagnjenica continued keeping watch near the KFOR checkpoint.

Some time around 18:00 CET a small assembled house was brought to the checkpoint so that Serbs would not have to stand in the snow which started falling during the night-watch.

KFOR Colonel Adolf Conrad informed Zubin Potok Mayor Slaviša Ristić earlier on Tuesday that the traffic would be normalized in the evening hours, as soon as the road was thoroughly cleared and a KFOR checkpoint is set up in Jagnjenica.
