Snowfall is causing problems on roads all around the territory of Serbia. Drivers are advised to avoid regional and rural roads, especially in the northern regions. Winter weather causes traffic problems The roads are very slippery, and therefore the Serbian Automotive Club is recommending that drivers navigate very carefully if they have to be on the roads. Fast and sharp turns and quick stops should be avoided as well. Local, regional and interstate roads near Pozarevac have opened on Sunday after being closed on Saturday night because of the severe weather conditions. Firefighters were pulling trapped persons out of cars that were completely snowed in near Pozarevac on Saturday night, but according to reports, none of the persons suffered serious injuries or frostbite.
