The Youth Initiative For Human Rights presented the project "Srebrenica - mapping the genocide” in Belgrade on Friday. The project is in a form of a 220 minute DVD. The events in Srebrenica that happened between July 6-19, 1995, are presented with the help of 17 animated maps, author of the project Suada Kapic stated. NGO maps Srebrenica genocide Presenting the project at a news conference, Kapic said that all available material was used for the completion of the project so as to inform the public about the crime in an objective way. Director of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Bosnia-Herzegovina Alma Masic pointed out that the project should comprise long-term material, which will serve as archival material and be used for public discussion, academic research and lectures. Director of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Serbia Maja Stojanovicnoted that the 15th anniversary of the war crime in Srebrenica takes place this year and that “the Serbian society is still not familiar with the location of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia fugitive Ratko Mladic” and is still debating the same issues as before.
