China continues to support Serbia's territorial integrity

Chinese Ambassador in Belgrade Zhang Wanxue has said that China supports Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the entire territory of the country.

BELGRADE Chinese Ambassador in Belgrade Zhang Wanxue has said that China supports Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the entire territory of the country. China will continue cooperating with Serbia in the UN and supporting its efforts in respecting Resolution 1244, the diplomat also stated. China continues to support Serbia's territorial integrity In the talks with Serbian parliament speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic, the Chinese ambassador qualified the relations between the two countries as traditionally friendly and added that the countries are strategic partners and share room for expansion of political and all other modes of cooperation. Recalling that a meeting of China's top officials with representatives of countries in central and eastern Europe with a view to increasing the commercial exchange from USD 50 billion to USD 100 billion, the ambassador said that China sees Serbia as an important factor in the realization of the plan which is why talks on new projects are being held. He said that China is willing to invest efforts together with the new government and new convocation of the parliament in order to reach a new level of relations. The Serbian parliament speaker thanked China on assistance and friendship and its principled stand on the Kosovo-Metohija issue, adding that Serbia will not change its stands on the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and will continue investing constant efforts aimed at respecting Resolution 1244.
