Last night was relatively peaceful in Kosovo. Shots were heard in the village of Zupce but nobody was injured. All major roads in northern Kosovo are still blocked. N. Kosovo police Spokesman Besim Hoti could only confirm that shots had been fired. Media in Pristina have reported that “criminal groups supported by the Serbian government have cemented the barricade in the village of Rudare in the municipality of Zvecan.” Pristina-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore writes that 25 cubic meters of concrete was poured on the road in the village of Rudare, adding that a truck of one of the organized crime leaders was used to do so. A B92 reporter says that Kosovo police had introduced around-the-clock patrols in multiethnic communities in northern Kosovo after last night’s shooting in the village of Zupce. KFOR troops entered northern Kosovska Mitrovica last night. An armored vehicle is parked in front of the city court.
