Aleksandar Popovic left a regional meeting in protest after Kosovo was announced separately from Serbia. At a regional conference held in Ljubljana, Kosovo was announced as a participator in the conference alongside Serbia and other countries of the region. Mining and Energy Minister Popovic said that “despite the fact that according to all the prepared and submitted documentation for this conference, Kosovo’s status was clearly defined in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244, Kosovo was announced as a country-participant in the conference, alongside Serbia and other countries in the region,” Popovic said.
