Both said that they had hope that the leaders of Kosovo will not proclaim unilateral independence, according to a statement from Crvenkovski's cabinet.

Đelić was also informed that Macedonia supports the efforts being made by the international community to solve the Kosovo status crisis.

Crvenkovski asked Đelić whether the Serbian Foreign Affairs Ministry will answer the Macedonian demand to allow a state delegation to visit the Prohor Pčinjski monastery on August 2.

Đelić said that the ministry has yet to receive an answer from the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) on the issue and that Macedonia will be informed of the church's answer in due time.

Đelić also met with Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Economic Minister Vera Rafajlovska.
