BELGRADE Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic says a budget revision may be carried out in the next month and a half, although it was originally planned for September. Commenting on a set of amendments to six tax laws in the Serbian parliament on Friday, Dinkic said that the budget deficit in the first four months of 2013 is much greater than planned - with the consolidated budget of RSD 60 billion and the state budget of RSD 78 billion. Dinkic won't rule out early budget revision Dinkic said that the Fiscal Council has stated that the budget revision should be adopted as soon as possible. The minister also told MPs that "certain measures will be taken" in view of expenditures in order to put the situation under control, adding that the Serbian government has been presented with measures to reduce expenditures for about RSD 32 billion. The MPs resumed on Friday a debate on the amendments to a set of taxation laws. The session, which was opened on May 22, was suspended two days ago. (Tanjug, file) Tanjug

Dinkić said that the Fiscal Council has stated that the budget revision should be adopted as soon as possible.

The minister also told MPs that "certain measures will be taken" in view of expenditures in order to put the situation under control, adding that the Serbian government has been presented with measures to reduce expenditures for about RSD 32 billion.
