BELGRADE The embassy of Iran in Belgrade organized a reception late Monday on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. Iranian Ambassador Abolghassem Delfi said on the occasion that relations between the two countries are very friendly and expressed hope for their improvement in the future. Iranian ambassador praises friendly ties with Serbia The reception was attended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, representatives of the government, parliament, diplomatic corps, religious communities and many others. Addressing the guests, Ambassador Delfi said that the relations between Iran and Serbia are based on mutual cooperation, which is proved by President Nikolic's presence at the celebration of an Iranian holiday. "We want Serbia to succeed in achieving its goals and for the policy of dialogue, which is also the policy of Iran, to be the basis for resolving all problems," Delfi stated. The outgoing ambassador also said that he came to Serbia three years ago with a message of peace and friendship and that he is leaving to Iran with the same message. (Tanjug) Tanjug
