BRUSSELS, BELGRADE Serbia deserves to get the green light for the EU accession talks since it has shown great commitment and good will to stay on the European course. This was said by Italy's Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi said in Brussels on Wednesday. "Serbia deserves green light for accession talks" Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic showed from the start of his term that EU integration is a high priority for the Serbian authorities, Terzi stressed, the Italian embassy in Belgrade stated. Nikolic showed through his deeds that he working towards a dialogue with Pristina on an high political level, Terzi noted. Terzi also welcomed the constructive approach by Serbia's Prime Minister Ivica Dacic during three meetings that were part of the EU facilitated dialogue with Pristina. The Italian official could not say if the European Council would give the green light, but underscored Italy's position that Serbia deserved a positive opinion.
