Swedish EU affairs minister to visit Belgrade

BELGRADE Swedish European Affairs Minister Eva Birgitta Ohlsson will come for a two-day visit to Belgrade on Friday. Ohlsson will discuss Serbia’s EU integration process with the Serbian government officials. The Swedish Embassy in Belgrade announced earlier that Ohlsson was planning on attending the Pride Parade, adding that such manifestations were tests that showed whether a country respected human rights. The Serbian authorities have decided to ban all public gatherings on October 6 in Belgrade, including the gay parade. However, organizers have announced that the parade will be held indoors.
