BELGRADE President Tomislav Nikolic received on Monday Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Konuzin, during which they discussed advancement of bilateral cooperation. Konuzin is ending his mandate as Russia's top diplomatic representative to Serbia. President receives Russian envoy in farewell visit Nikolic and Konuzin agreed that Serbia and Russia should continue to cooperate in the areas of energy and agriculture, as the Russian market has great needs "and can buy everything that Serbia produces". This would be a great chance for the development of Serbia's economy, the president said, according to a statement from his press office. In the open, friendly talks, Konuzin thanked Nikolic for the great cooperation in the previous four years, stressing that he is particularly satisfied that perspectives of the Russian-Serbian relations are even better than they were before. Nikolic wished Konuzin much success and happiness, hoping that he will "cherish a fond memory of Serbia, and gladly return here in the future". The Russian diplomat last week gave an interview and discussed economic and cultural ties between the two countries, Serbia's Kosovo policy, and his country's position on Serbia's Euro-Atlantic integrations.
