At a protest gathering held in Kosovska Mitrovica, Serbs from northern Kosovo stated that they do not give up on peaceful fight for survival in this territory. They once again most severely condemned the murder of a married couple of Serbian returnees Milovan and Ljiljana Jevtic at the Talinovac village near Urosevac. The Jevtics were murdered in their home on Friday evening and the participants of the protest paid then respect with a minute's silence. Serbs in north rally, "won't give up on peaceful fight" Serbs from northern Kosovo called for a speedy forming of the government in Belgrade which is expected to support their peaceful fight for survival in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM). Dragisa Milovic, President of the Zvecan municipality, said that Serbs will continue to fight for survival on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija with peaceful means and called on EULEX and KFOR to adhere to status neutrality. "They should protect all citizens, but this amount of force in the north (of Kosovo) is needed primarily to Serbs south from the Ibar River because they have no protection over there," Milovic stressed. He expects from the new government to design a strategy for the Kosovo issue and tell the truth to the citizens. "They need to tell the citizens what they plan to do in the future, we want to be in unison with our government representatives, to be one team, which we were not able to do in the past four years," he said. Milovic said that the previous government requested from the Kosovo Serbs to implement what was agreed in Brussels without any consultation with them. The protesters called on the future government not to shut down the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija because that would justify doubts that the new government will bow to the pressures from the West. President of the Kosovska Mitrovica Krstimir Pantic stated that Serbs in Kosovo live without fundamental human rights in a "modern concentration camp where the stronger one is entitled to kill, rig court processes and persecute." The citizens said that with peaceful protests they will prevent the opening of the Kosovo government administrative office in the Bosnjacka mahala settlement in northern Kosovska Mitrovica. Tanjug
