  1. there was ethic cleansing, no doubt about it... but you tell me who cleansed whom...

"When Tito's communists came to power in 1945, they adopted an odd attitude to the Kosovo problem. It is now well known that Tito had designs on Albania and he kept close contacts with the Albanian rulers. This was the reason why thousands of Serbian families, which had been expelled during World War II were prevented from returning to their ancestral homes, whereas the immigration of Albanians from Albania was tolerated and tacitly approved. At the same time the Yugoslav federal government treated Kosovo as an area in need of vast subsidies and financial help. It was well known that for years all single employed citizens of Yugoslavia, even pensioners, had two per cent of their pay deducted to finance the investment in Kosovo. (This caused a lot of discontent, specially in Croatia and Slovenia and had a bearing on recent events in Yugoslavia.)

The inbalance of the respective nationalities in Kosovo was further increased by huge demographic growth among the Albanian population. In 1961 the census recorded that the Albanians already constituted 67.1 per cent of the overall population of Kosovo, whereas the 1971 census showed a figure 73.7 per cent. In 1981 this percentage grew to 77.48 per cent. There was a distinct impression that the communist authorities approved of this trend for their own reasons.

The explanation for this growth in percentages was not only the demographic explosion of the Albanian population, but also a steady pressure by the Albanians to get rid of as many Serbs as possible. This was facilitated by the new Yugoslav constitution of 1974 which gave the autonomous provinces of Yugoslav, of which Kosovo was one, virtually the status of federal republics, with their own parliaments, laws, police, education, etc. There is no doubt that the Albanian provincial authorities abused their new powers and compelled a large number of Serbs to leave Kosovo through threats, blackmail, arson, physical harassment, destruction of Serbian graveyards and cultural monuments, rape, etc. A favourite method was to make an offer for purchase of Serbs' land or their homes which they "could not refusè ie if they did refuse, they would regret it!

The Albanian separatists were the first in Yugoslavia to resort to the policy of "ethnic cleansing", with the aim of achieving "ethnically pure Kosovo" and the status of a Federal Republic, with the right to secession. These events were hardly reported in the politically controlled press of communist Yugoslavia, and the authority in the "autonomous provincè of Kosovo, which was Albanian, suppressed any publicity of these events. The only real protest came from some bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, in a well documented memorandum in 1988, describing in a factual way the repression of the Serbs in Kosovo."

We don't deny there was ethnic cleansing. You still like to think the KLA was a bunch of noble "freedom fighters" that single handedly won the war when in fact they were a bunch of rag tag pizza flippers turned gun runners turned terrorists that got their asses kicked by the Serbian army, ran to the US and begged for help, gave them a lot of drug money and then was taken off the terrorist list in the name of helping out a bunch of "Muslims" so America could look good to the Middle East. We have no problem with our history. We have our high points and low points. You make stuff up as it suits you.

You can "God Bless" them all you want but America doesn't give a damn about you.

Clinton spearheaded a NATO air war and subsequent invasion of Kosovo aimed at stopping "SERBIAN ETHNIC CLEANSING" there in 1999."

One pile of manure embraces another mound of the same type of fertilizer. But back to the article. Why is it always the Albanians that do these types of crimes? You could have guessed 10 seconds after these murders were reported in the media. Now the Macedonians are trying to cover it up and calling these Albanians “terrorists”. Where is that great lump of fertilizer called the US?
It is now more clearer than ever the NATO business of 1999 had nothing to do with saving the Albanians in Kosovo it was just a diversionary tactic to save Bill Clinton from the Monica affair

Stari - You seem to have selective cutting and pasting syndrome. You forgot to cut and paste from the same paragraph the fact that the USA began to support the KLA when Serbia began "ethnic cleansing" which means to murder innocent civilians on a large grand scale. I'll be happy to finish the cutting and pasting you began from your choice of "evidence". The world is not so black and white as you and every Serb would like people to believe. Good thing nobody believes you guys. Here it is.

"By 1999, however, the United States had embraced the KLA's cause, if not the group itself, working instead through the ethnic Albanian nationalist politician Ibrahim Rugova. Clinton spearheaded a NATO air war and subsequent invasion of Kosovo aimed at stopping "SERBIAN ETHNIC CLEANSING" there in 1999."

By virtue of you posting the link to the article to post it as "fact", you openly admit that Serbia was ethnically cleansing. Finally, you're a Serb honorable enough to admit it:) Have a good day "Stari". Im always here for you. I love helping old people like yourself when you begin to forget things like finishing to cut and paste very important details such as Serbia's ethnic cleansing. Oh, by the way....Serbia failed at that task thankfully. God Bless the USA.

  10. it's hard for me to begin to understand the serbo-mania of calling the kosovars and muslim macedonians albanians. Hello, from Republic of Albania, can you just call them macedonians or kosovars. If not, you are making the greater albania and not we. I have a great sympaty for serbia, which i have visited several times, but that do you expect from macedonia. In the moment they decided to go for the indipendence, it was dummed. Same think for kosovo, black hole with no chance of developement soon, because of the politic situation. You can continue to claim those territories, your right, but here we don't want to pay taxes for those to reagions, YOUR YOUGOSLAVIA, left in the same standarts of Congo or Rwanda. Take them if you want to sink. For me, its a good idea

There is plenty of proof of the crimes he committed.

You are speaking out of hatred. It will consume you soon if you don't see someone about it.

  13. Fact of the matter is this---- While Serbians committed horrible crimes against Croatians who do not happen to be Muslims, burned their churches decimated their graves, burned their birth and death records, no one called them Radical Christians. They did the same to Albanian Catholics as well, what they have do to Muslims its beyond genocide. Now, when Muslim Albanians, even if they are Christian Albanians, kill a Serbian or a Macedonia, all of sudden they are "ALBANIAN ISLAMIST RADICALS" Albanians are being set up and pushed around by Slavs. I Sincerely and totally sympathize this incident, it was uncalled for it. Slavs need to stop provoking Albanians as well.

They are controlled but the Government and couldn't call them Albanians for what they really are.....so they had to say "radical Islamists"...meanwhile I heard from Macedonians directly in Skoplje that one of the savages that were caught were actually "Christian".

Lets not be politically correct about this.

This was just Albanians doing the only thing Albanians know how to do. Kill innocent people who do not have a gun on them to fight back.

Because if they did have a gun to fight back, the Albanians would then run into their house and surround themselves by their 16 children and wives like complete cowards hoping civilized people would have sympathy on their souls.

    Cowards.

  17. When KLA and other armed albanian fractions commited attacks in the past against serbian or macedonian police, they always claimed responsibilty for it because the proganada war was more important that the actual attack. There were always press releases.

Same can be said for islam related terrorist attacks across the world - terrorist organisations are proud of their attacks and they always claim responsibilty - to try and spread fear and intimidation.

In this case though, no one claimed responsibility for this attack, which defeats the purpose if this was religious related terrorist attack, or part of some kind of albanian nationalistic motive as serbs claim.

Is it possible that some angry albanians killed these guys as revenge for recent anti-albanian attacks in Macedonia? Yes it is, but they cant be acting for any serious organisation. This does not benefit the albanian cause, and thats why most albanians say whoever these guys were were not acting for albanians.

Somehow I believe this is part of some other secretive plan to destabilise the region - which only benefits Serbia and serbian cause.

  20. It's a worldwide disease - people are possessed by the idea they have a right to kill other people, total strangers, because they are unhappy about ... whatever. So far this week in the U.S., five nuts (all with WASP names) - who thought blowing up a bridge in Cleveland to protest corporate America was a neat idea - were arrested, and the last of a group of Bosnians who had gone to high-school together in New York and had planned a suicide bombing of the NY subway to help to bring the country to its knees, economically, was found guilty in court. Talk about a wasted life.

If Macedonia doesn't want these guys - who say they were fighting NATO (and therefore, the Afghan government as well) - they should send them to Kabul for trial and punishment there. I'm sure our new strategic ally could deal with them.

Why? They could 'fight' (if murdering some young men only to 'stir up the situiation' can be called 'fighting' at all) for an Islamic, mono-ethnic and of course mono-religious greater Albania.

That's good, but there is a big percentage of Albanians who openly support this idea (though these extremists prefer to call it 'natural Albania', they probably think it sounds better, but it means the same stupid idea), just like a big percentage of the Serbs supporter a 'greater Serbia'.

What they believed to "accomplish" is a case for a mental doctor - in addition they could believe to be something like Napoleon Bonaparte and Yosemite Killer as well. 30 years forced labor in mines of Siberian permafrost may cure this kind of mental disease, Macedonians may have something similar, so let them try.
