A two-day strike in Greece, which has completely paralyzed the country, continued on Thursday and more mass protests are expected in the streets of Athens. The police and demonstrators clashed late Wednesday in the city, after riots which left at least 45 people hurt, among whom three civilians, news agencies reported. Two-day strike continues in Greece Parliament is expected to approve today the articles of the controversial austerity bill after giving it preliminary approval in a first vote late on Wednesday. The belt-tightening bill caused, as the agencies put it, ''the mother of all strikes'', and the biggest walk-out since the financial crisis began in Greece two years ago. Air traffic controllers started working on Wednesday, since they reduced their strike to 12 hours, so that the air traffic in Greece should be normalized soon. Parliament is expected to approve today the articles of the controversial austerity bill after giving it preliminary approval in a first vote late on Wednesday.

The belt-tightening bill caused, as the agencies put it, ''the mother of all strikes'', and the biggest walk-out since the financial crisis began in Greece two years ago.

Air traffic controllers started working on Wednesday, since they reduced their strike to 12 hours, so that the air traffic in Greece should be normalized soon.
