EULEX not pressuring Serbs, says PM

Serbia’s Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković has stated that today’s EULEX operation should not be seen as pressure on Serbs.

Serbia’s Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic has stated that today’s EULEX operation should not be seen as pressure on Serbs. “The government has information from the field and it supports all operations regarding murders and other types of crime,” he said and called on all sides to calm the situation down. It is necessary to determine who was behind the shooting for the sake of the people living in northern Kosovo as well,” the prime minister told reporters in Krusevac. EULEX carried out the operation in northern Kosovo on Wednesday morning as a part of the investigation into murder of a Kosovo policeman on July 26. “We should not create anxiety. It is necessary to determine who was behind the shooting for the sake of the people living in northern Kosovo as well,” the prime minister told reporters in Kruševac.
