Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Patriarch Irinej met with Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic. Jeremic informed the patriarch of his recent visit with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, a statement said. Patriarch Irinej meets with Jeremic Jeremic also informed the patriarch of the preliminary plans related to the celebration of the 1,700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan in 2013 in Nis, and other locations in the Christian world. “The minister also informed the hosts of the diplomatic activities of the Serbian Foreign Ministry related to the efforts for preserving the southern Serbian province, and the situation in the region,” the statement issued by the SPC added. The meeting between the patriarch and Jeremic was attended by bishops Irinej and Atanasije.
