Serbian currency hits 2015 high against euro

The Serbian dinar (RSD) grew by 0.6 percent on Monday against the euro (EUR) with official middle exchange rate at RSD 120.4658.

Serbian currency hits 2015 high against euro

The Serbian national currency has grown by 1.8 percent against the Eurozone currency compared to a month ago, dropping by 3.8 percent compared to a year ago.

The dollar indicative exchange rate is unchanged and amounts to RSD 106.6635.

The dinar has grown by 1.5 percent against the US currency compared to a month ago and by 20.8 percent compared to a year ago.

On January 5, the dinar reached its previous 2015 high of RSD 121.1543, hitting its lowest this year on January 29, when the dinar-to-euro exchange rate amounted to RSD 123.5774.

Since the beginning of the year, the NBS has sold EUR 90 million and purchased EUR 20 million on the interbank exchange market to curb excessive daily fluctuations of the exchange rate.
