Serbian President Boris Tadic Sunday encouraged citizens to establish as many family-owned businesses as possible. He also urged the citizens to take responsibility for their lives, pointing out that the state would try to help the promising microenterprises. Tadic urges more family-owned businesses During his visit to the family-owned winery Selecta in the village of Gudurica near the northern town of Vrsac, Tadic said that the development of the entire country depended on the massiveness in the number of family-owned businesses and micro enterprises. In a conversation with winemakers from the region of Vrsac, the president said that the Serbian government's economic policy was contained in three words: investment, jobs and security. “Hundreds of thousands of such companies is the future of this country. Some countries have managed to defend themselves from the crisis only thanks to having such enterprises,” he pointed out. He said that the state had to ensure faster payment of products and services to ensure the existence of family enterprises, and to simultaneously create a development bank that would assist micro, small and medium enterprises.
