New poll: Trump and Clinton are both unpopular candidates

The popularity of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party's candidate in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, has reached her political career low.

New poll: Trump and Clinton are both unpopular candidates

What ABC News termed "Clinton's rise in unpopularity" now means she is "almost as unpopular" as her Republican rival Donald Trump.

According to the survey, 56 percent of Americans view Clinton unfavorably, while 63 percent say the same about Trump.

But among registered voters Clinton's unfavorable rating is 59 percent, compared to 60 percent for Trump. Among this group, Clinton's favorable rating is now 38 percent versus Trump's 37 percent.

If there weren't for Trump, Clinton would be the most unpopular presidential candidate of a big party in American's modern history, the Washington Post said.
