George Galloway, a controversial member of the British Parliament, said he will fight a ruling that he should be barred from Canada as a security risk. Galloway told the Toronto Sun Friday he plans a court fight against Immigration Minister Jason Kenney. He said that he has been to Canada many times up to last year. British MP to challenge ban from Canada "My friends are even now planning judicial review of the reasonableness of the minister's decision. I will one way or another be heard in Canada -- either in person or by some other technical means," he said. Galloway has been a lightning rod for years, notably for his outspoken opposition to the invasion of Iraq. Most recently, he delivered aid to Palestinians in Gaza. A spokesman said that Kenney and the Canada Border Services Agency were just following the law. "The minister will not give a special exemption from Canada's security laws to Mr. Galloway, nor will he provide special treatment to a man who brags about giving financial support to Hamas, a banned terrorist organization in Canada, or who offers sympathy for Canada's enemies in Afghanistan," government spokesman Alykhan Velshi said.
