Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee Dragoljub Micunovic stated in Belgrade that "freedom and justice go together". Micunovic, who also chairs the ruling Democratic Party (DS) Political Council, made the statement as he opened an exhibition of photographs and panels at the Center of Fine Arts in Belgrade on Monday evening. "Velvet Revolution" anniversary marked The event was organized to mark the 20th anniversary of the so-called Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia. Czech Ambassador to Serbia Hana Hubackova pointed out that the events 20 years ago meant not only the end of the totalitarian regime and gaining of freedom in Czechoslovakia, but also contributed to the end of the Cold War in international relations and Europe's unification. Slovak Ambassador to Serbia Igor Furdik said that the most important thing is that the change of regime was followed by a change in the minds of his nationals, which enabled Slovakia to achieve a substantial economic and social progress in only six years, from 1998 and 2004.
