Health Minister Tomica Milosavljevic received British author Tony Parsons in Belgrade on Friday at the start of Extend Life campaign. Milosavljevic pointed out that with his last book, Starting Over, which was published in Serbia by Laguna, Parsons had become part of the Serbian Extend Life campaign, which aimed to raise awareness about organ donation. Organ donor campaign starts Parsons said that life was the best present for anyone, stating that he was pleased he had become part of the Serbian Ministry of Health campaign. He remarked that the aim of the campaign should be to remove prejudice when it came to organ donation, because a heart does not have a race, passport or religion, and we are all the same under the skin, adding that organ donation was the most positive thing one human being could give to another. Milosavljevic said that the Health Ministry, in cooperation with the Radio and Television of Serbia, had started a nationwide campaign, entitled Extend Life, to support the transplantation program, which was backed by Serbian President Boris Tadic and all the religious communities in the country.
