Serb, Bosnian hooligans clash in Mostar

According to reports from the Bosnian media, police tried to get the Partizan supporters into their buses and prevent further clashes, but the violence spread to the entire western part of the city.

Police used tear gas in order to ensure that Partizan's fans would be escorted out of Mostar.

Several vehicles and stores were damaged during the clashes and several dozen people were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Partizan supporters from Serbia and the Republic of Srpska came to Mostar in about ten buses.

The fans, some of which wore shirts depicting the Hague's most-wanted fugitive, former Bosnian Serb General Ratko Mladić, chanted the names of Mladić and fellow Hague fugitive Radovan Karadžić during the match.

Partizan won the match by a score of 6:1.
