Zvornik trial: Videos of deportation

The case, which started on November 28, 2005, is being tried before the Belgrade Special War Crimes Court.

At the trial session held Monday, two television recordings showing deportation of Bosnian Muslims from villages of Kozluk and Skočić in the Zvornik municipality were presented as evidence.

The first video, featuring the deportation of 1,822 Muslims, was broadcast on Serbian state television on June 27, 1992, and the second, a documentary entitled, “Deportation: Award for Loyalty” was aired on B92 TV.

Both videos show convoys of buses packed with people leaving Kozluk and Skočić in the spring of 1992, bound for Šabac in Serbia.

They were then deported to Hungary.

Among other evidence presented today were also the transcripts of four testimonies given by protected witnesses marked as B, G, D an Đ, who had been held prisoners in the Čelopek location in Zvornik also in the spring of 1992.

Presiding Judge Tatjana Vučković said that these witnesses refused to testify directly, adding that it was decided to deliver their testimonies in written form.
