Zvornik trial continues

The proceedings take place before Belgrade’s District Court War Crimes Chamber.

Grujić and Popović, accused of having moved 1,822 Muslims from the villages of Kozluk and Skočić by force on June 26, 1992, pleaded not guilty on the charges at the beginning of the trial on November 28, 2005.

They denied having been aware of but failing to prevent the crimes that occurred in Čelopek, where, according to the indictment, members of the Yellow Wasps killed at least 19 of the 163 abused Muslims from the village of Divič in May and June 1992.

The accused members of Yellow Wasps denied having committed the crimes, while defendant Dragutin Dragićević chose to remain silent.
