The report quotes Croatia's Deputy Attorney-General, Dragan Novosel, as saying in Zagreb that if Vasiljkovic fled to Serbia, Croatia would have no choice but to hand over its case to that country as Serbia does not extradite its citizens to Croatia. ''We have concrete evidence about Vasiljkovic's actions,'' Novosel told current affairs program on Croatia's national broadcaster, HTV. ''Those statements are credible. We will make them available to the war crimes prosecutions department of Serbia, which will decide whether to launch a prosecution. ''They have done so in other cases and I don't see why they wouldn't in this case. That is the only mechanism we have at this point for Serbian nationals who are located on Serbian territory and who have committed crimes in Croatia," Novosel was quoted.
