The Montenegrin Health Ministry has announced tighter sanitary controls at border crossings starting June 11, because of the swine flu epidemic. The ministry told the Beta news agency that there was no special reason for the increased control measures, with the ministry stating that the decision would take effect on the basis of recommendations from the Montenegro Institute for Public Health, in preparation for the coming tourist season. Posters will also be put up at the border, warning of the flu and giving recommendations on what to do if anyone believes he or she might be infected. The posters will be in Montenegrin, English, Russian and Albanian. Everyone entering Montenegro will receive recommendations and a questionnaire at passport control, and everyone will also have protective masks and gloves offered to them.
