The Association of Srebrenica Women has asked to meet the president and prime minister of Montenegro. They sent their request with regards to the deportation of refugees from Bosnia-Herzegovina and an initiative that has been launched for all victims to receive apologies. Srebrenica women ask to meet Montenegro leaders “We’re asking to meet [President] Filip Vujanovic and [Prime Minister]Milo Djukanovic so that they can show us where the second home of our sons was, and inform us about how they helped our relatives return to their homeland safely,” reads the letter signed by Association President Hajra Catic. The Association asks Vujanovic and Djukanovic to “finally help us to give a noble burial to our relatives, who died directly as a result of your hearfelt arrest and deportation, by telling the truth about our loved ones.” “We call on all Montenegrin citizens to show human solidarity and to distance themselves from the murderers of our sons, and we support everybody in Montenegro who rejects the policy of the violation of human rights in the past and those who conceived it, carried it out, and tolerated such policies and would today like to simply forget about it,” says Catic. The Association supports families of deported and murdered Bosnians and reis-ul-ulem Mustafa Ceric, who has demanded the Montenegrin authorities “do what they have promised for years in their election campaigns.”
