The meeting between Vucic and his aide Ivica Kojic with SPS and United Serbia leaders Ivica Dacic and Dragan Markovic began at around 14:00 CET, at the National Assembly building in Belgrade, and lasted 45 minutes.

Speaking afterwards, Dacic said he told Vucic that his coalition wanted to continue cooperation with the SNS.

Afterwards, Vucic met with Serb Radical Party leader Vojislav Seselj.

The consultations continued with a 15-minute meeting with Enough is Enough Movement leader Sasa Radulovic.

Vucic should meet with officials of the Liberal Democratic Party-League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina-Social Democratic Party coalition at 17:00 CET, and then with representatives of the Dveri Movement an hour later.

The Democratic Party said earlier on Tuesday that it will not take part in the consultations as it does not want to be part of an SNS-led government.

Thanking Vucic for the invitation, Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) leader Sanda Raskovic Ivic said that attending the consultations would be absurd for the DSS as its positions are completely opposite to those of Vucic's Progressives (SNS).

The Social Democratic Party will also not be attending these consultations, Tanjug reported.

Vucic said earlier that he would talk with representatives of all electoral lists represented in the new Assembly that accepted his invitation, but that this "did not mean they will enter his government."

According to previous announcements, Serbia should get a new government by June 16.
