Kosovo dialogue to resume after holidays - report

A new round in EU-sponsored Kosovo dialogue, held in Brussels, should be scheduled after the Constitutional Court in Pristina rules on the constitutionality of the agreement on the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) - a part of the Brussels agreement, reached previously during the talks.

The setting up of the ZSO has been temporarily suspended by the Pristina authorities.

The court is expected to make its decision as early as on Tuesday.

The newspaper reported that according to "assessments in Pristina" the court will say that the agreement is "not unconstitutional" as it was envisaged by the Brussels agreement, which has been ratified by Kosovo's Constitutional Court and by the assembly.

"That means it has the character of an international contract, that is - it takes precedence over the laws and the Constitution," the article said, adding the court is expected to recommend to the government in Pristina to pass a decree on implementing the agreement on the ZSO.
