The Kosovo Albanian government has adopted a decision to establish a special fund "for the integration of Serbs in northern Kosovo".

The Kosovo Albanian government has adopted a decision to establish a special fund "for the integration of Serbs in northern Kosovo". Pristina looks to spend EUR 5mn for that purpose. Pristina allocates EUR 5 million for north Pristina that the money will be aimed at "improving the infrastructure", in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvecan, Leposavic and Zubin Potok. The municipalities are predominantly Serb, and recognize neither the authority of the government in Pristina, nor the Kosovo Albanian UDI made two and a half years ago. The EUR 5mn will be used to "encourage the return of Serbs to northern municipalities", said a statement. The idea of establishing the fund was presented by Kosovo Prime Minister Hasim Tachi, who expressed belief that this move would have a positive effect on the economic development of this part of Kosovo.
