KFOR, KPC, and International Civilian Office are preparing to form Kosovo's security forces, reports say. An Albanian language daily in Pristina claims to have had insight into the proposal to organize these forces, and says "they will not have heavy armaments and will be in line with NATO requirements". Report: Kosovo security forces in works "The plan envisages the force to have 2,500 active soldiers and 800 reservists, aged 19 to 35", Kosova Sot newspaper specifies. 50 NATO experts are expected in the province in May or early June in order to enlist and train the members of this force, the report added. Elsewhere in Kosovo, the arrival of German troops to Camp Notting Hill near Lesak, signaled the end of the deployment of U.S. soldiers in northern, Serb-inhabited part of Kosovo. The Americans who are leaving are quoted as saying that the move is a part of regular troop replacement, "unrelated to U.S. policies in Kosovo".
