“Serbia not interfering in Montenegrin affairs”

Parliamentary Speaker Oliver Dulic says that Serbia is "not interfering in Montenegro’s internal affairs." By adopting a law to give Serbian citizenship abroad, Serbia is not meddling in Montenegrin affairs since the law "does not violate international norms for similar problems which exist in many countries throughout the region and the world," Dulic said. “Serbia not interfering in Montenegrin affairs” Dulic added he "hoped that the Foreign Ministries of the two countries can solve the issue through bilateral talks, and find a solution that is acceptable to both parties and abides by international standards." He said that it would be unfortunate for this issue to damage relations between Serbia and Montenegro, adding that it would be "disappointing for someone to use this law as a political tool in Montenegro." “At no point was the intention of those adopting this law to destabilize relations with any country in the world, Montenegro included,” concluded Dulic.
