Contact Group intensifies Kosovo meetings

“The upcoming Contact Group Kosovo meetings won’t necessarily produce concrete decisions,” Beta quoted its sources as saying.

The same EU sources added that these meetings still carried a lot of clout, even though Kosovo’s status settlement proceedings were transferred to the UN Security Council:

“Contact Group meetings might be significant in the context of the discussion between Russia and the other five states that make up the Group.”

The sources in Brussels specified that Contact Group meetings as well as the bilateral talks of its member states constituted an integral part of the process aimed at reaching a solution for Kosovo.
