Serbian police (MUP) have arrested two top managers of the Yugoslav River Shipping (JRB) company, it has been confirmed. The suspects were identified as JRB general director, Milan Mijailovic, and technical director, Bosko Maletin. Shipping company managers arrested They are suspected of abusing their position to defraud the company and the state of EUR 700,000, said Police Director Milorad Veljovic. Both have been placed in 47-hour police detention. Criminal charges in the case will also include other JRB managers, including the director's deputy, financial director, and management board president and members, said Veljovic. According to the charges, in order to make illegal gains, the suspects sent ships to be repaired abroad. Veljovic also noted that the company, currently state-owned, was in the process of being privatized.
