New season in Belgrade's bohemian district starts April 29
The event will feature an award ceremony of the 2016 Golden Tourist Heart of the Mediterranean and Southeast Europe."International tourism superpowers" such as Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Slovenia and Croatia are also expected to attend to receive honors, the agency said, quoting a statement by SACEN, an international center for tourism and hospitality development.
Meanwhile, works are under way to completely overhaul the Skadarlija Fountain, which will be officially unveiled at the start of the new season.
According to previous announcements, city authorities plan to start replacing the cobblestones covering the vintage district's streets in September.
