The Weather Investments telecommunications company, registered in Italy, is interested in acquiring Telekom Srbija, Serbian government sources told Beta. According to the sources, Weather Investments wishes to participate in the tender for the acquisition of 51 percent of the Serbian state-owned telecommunications comany shares but, before that, the commission that is carrying out the tender procedure has to grant them permission to buy the documents required for participation in the procedure. Weather Investments interested in Telekom Weather Investments is a private telecommunications company in which an Egyptian, Naguib Sawiris, holds a 97 percent stake. Weather Investments is also the owner of the Egyptian company Orascom Telecom, the third largest mobile phone operator in Italy, the Wind Telecomunicazioni, and the third largest mobile operator in Greece, WIND Hellas.
