Jat Airways CEO Srdjan Radovanovic says Serbia's air carrier will establish partnership and join its fleet with that of Montenegro Airlines. This is scheduled to take place on October 31. Ja Airways, Montenegro Airlines to join fleets Radovanovic told a news conference in Belgrade on Thursday that this will allow an increase in the number of destinations that planes will fly to from Serbia's cities of Belgrade and Nis and Montenegrin cities Podgorica and Tivat, as well as facilitate forming lower airline tickets cost. He recalled that the Serbian and Montenegrin companies have a total of 22 aircraft - of which Jat Airways has 14 - and added that the carriers agreed not to overlap in some destinations, in order to have a number of aircraft available for new destinations. He said that this will lead to large savings of fuel, as well as to savings in overflight fees payments, and therefore to reduced ticket prices. Radovanovic said that this kind of cooperation between Jat Airways and Montenegro Airlines, agreed on in Podgorica Tuesday, represents the beginning of a regional air transport alliance.
