Spain's Spanair will start its direct Belgrade-Barcelona flights on April 15, it has been confirmed. The Spanish air carrier is among a number of companies that have been granted permits by Serbia's Civil Aviation Authority. Spanair, other carriers given permits Spanair will also introduce its Belgrade-Madrid line at the end of May, it was announced. The summer schedule, which will last through October 30, will also see Latvian Air Baltic and Hungarian low-cost Wizzair introduce flights to and from Belgrade. Other carriers new to the Serbian market are Denmark's Cimber Sterling, Turkish Atlas Jet, Nouvel Air, and Coral Blue – the last three will operate charters bound for northern Africa during the summer months.
