A man and an 8-year-old child have been killed in two car crashes near Kragujevac. Local police said that the boy, a U.S. citizens identified as K.P., died when a Golf driven by Slobodan A., 19, of Nis, hit the back of a Zastava where he was traveling. In a separate crash on the Kragujevac-Lapovo main road, a 66-year-old driving a Yugo sped to change lanes and hit a metal safety barrier, and then a lamp post. The man, identified as Tomislav G., died of his injuries.

The accident took place on Sunday on the Niš-Belgrade highway near Lapovo.

In a separate crash on the Kragujevac-Lapovo main road, a 66-year-old driving a Yugo sped to change lanes and hit a metal safety barrier, and then a lamp post.

The man, identified as Tomislav G., died of his injuries.
