According to Deputy Mayor Irena Vujović, the arena will in this way "be returned to the original purpose and condition."

Beside providing a shelter for the evacuees, the Kombank Arena was also a collection point for humanitarian aid brought by the citizens.

As the situation in the town of Obrenovac normalizes, the number of evacuees still in reception centers in Belgrade is diminishing.

Currently, the number is at 2,000.

On Tuesday, evacuees will be transferred from the Pionir sports venue, while in Obrenovac itself, a hotel and a former army barracks are preparing to accept people who still cannot return to their homes.

Meanwhile, the transport company Lasta has announced that it was resuming all bus lines in the entire territory of the municipality, starting on Monday.
