This discovery came after Belgian police unions warned, in the wake of last month's terrorist attacks in Brussels, that "supporters of Islamic State can be found among the employees of airports across Europe."

Media in Vienna are reporting that the Bosnian man worked as a technician at the airport for many years.

He in the past posted pictures of himself online showing him "holding a raised index finger, in a victorious pose - similar to Islamic State fighters."

In addition, he "used some websites" to express his liking of Islamic State, "and followed radical Salafi messages," while other employees thought he stood out due to his "radical world view."
