Vucic talks about dual education with Swiss president
PM-designate Aleksandar Vucic late on Tuesday traveled to Switzerland, where he today met with President of the Swiss Confederation Johann Schneider Ammann.Source: Tanjug
According to the Serbian government, they talked about "dual education, Serbia's European path, situation in the region, and bilateral relations."
Vucic also "informed Schneider Ammann about Serbia's economic reforms and economic growth and stressed that first steps have been made to reform the educational system modeled on Switzerland."
Vucic "stressed that he was attending at the annual congress on technical and professional education and training in Bern-Winterthur to learn more from the Swiss model dual education."
He also "stressed that several foreign companies in Serbia have already expressed their readiness to participate in a partnership with educational institutions."
The president of the Swiss Confederation "pointed out that there are many common interests between Switzerland and Serbia and stressed that the stabilization of the Western Balkans was one of the priorities of Swiss policy."
"When there is stability, big companies are ready to invest in a country," said Schneider Ammann.
He "stressed it was also very important to invest in the education of young people," while Switzerland was "ready to continue cooperation with the (Serbian) Ministry of Education and offer its experiences to Serbia."
