He made the comments after a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington on Wednesday.

I believe that they can be even better, which is hugely significant for the life of Serbian citizens. Much depends on Serbia's relations with the US... Our progress and our better living standards... Our more developed society, the Serbian prime minister said.

Vucic said that he asked Kerry for support for Serbia on its European path and that they also discussed investments in Serbia by US companies and the Bytyqi brothers case.

I think that the Secretary of State understood my plea well, which you were able to hear from him as well. We also discussed investments and ways to improve the business environment in Serbia so that we may have as many US investments in Serbia as possible, the prime minister said.

Vucic said that Kerry commended Serbia's responsible conduct in the region, its economic reforms and progress on the European pathway and investments made into good-neighbourly relations - in particular with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia - as well as the Brussels dialogue.
